We collaborate with local nonprofits throughout the Indianapolis area to further extend our reach in immigrant, refugee and homeless communities.
COMMUNITY COLLABORATIONS IN INDIANAPOLIS
Ongoing ProjectWe are providing care packages through online deliveries amidst this period of quarantine due to the coronavirus. We understand the need is higher right now, and we are doing our best to serve people in need. To protect our clients and volunteers, we have temporarily stopped all door-to-door deliveries.
We are collaborating with the Washington township school district to provide essentials to newly arrived refugee families. |
Blanket DriveWe distributed more than 100 blankets to Burmese refugee families at the First Baptist Church in Indianapolis. The blankets ranged from baby to adult sizes. Thanks to Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation, who collected blankets for us. We collaborated with Patchwork Indy to organize the distribution of the blankets.

BOOK DRIVEWe completed our book drive in Indianapolis in collaboration with a local church. More than 300 books were donated to low-income immigrant and refugee families. The children were thrilled to select books they wanted from a huge collection. Our enthusiastic volunteers braved the scorching heat and helped distribute books. All the books were donated by local people in the community and Indy Reads.
